Greetings!

Did you watch the Academy Awards last night? I hope so. For every criticism one could have for so-shallow Hollywood, how can you not bask in the pure joy of acknowledgment of a job well done?

In a film clip montage, Ruth Gordon, winner of a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Rosemary’s Baby, said, “I can’t tell you how encouraging this is.” I believe it. May you be inspired to bestow a well deserved award at your next Sales Meeting.

In The Challenge last week, Challengers crunched numbers and confronted what it takes to cover costs and make the desired amount of profit. When you do that, you come up with a selling price that is higher than the “going rate.”

Gulp.

So, this week we consider what it will take to Get it Sold at that price. It’s all about making good on your promises in an extraordinary way. When you do that…you reap the rewards.

And you deserve an award.
