Course Description
In this session, I share my story and my experiences with business planning. We expose why business planning typically doesn’t work. And, we explore the Three Traps that keep you, and me, from creating the life and businesses that we really, really want.

- Get a Three Ring Binder. You can store your assignments in the Binder and create your customized Unbusiness Plan.
- Find and review any meaningful business planning exercises, or seminar notes, or strategy session notes that you have created. Have ‘em handy.
- Have you written a formal business plan? Great! Dust it off.

S2 – What It Is…What It Isn’t
Course Description
In this session, we explore what UN-Business Planning is…and isn’t…and how it’s different from traditional planning. Learn how to put your life first, when to ignore “commonly held beliefs” and to trust that YOU are the mentor you need most. Also…we’ll review the Law of Freedom. DATs right!

S3 – Why Bother? Your Mission
Course Description
In this session, you’ll explore Your Perfect Life and bring your Mission into focus. We’ll discuss the biggest question – Why? – and the resounding impact the answers can have on your business and your life. I’ll share different ways to discover and communicate your purpose, and how you can use it to inspire yourself and others. Goosebumps!
Session Homework Assignments
- Write your Perfect Life Essay, create a Vision Board or assemble a Pinterest page inspired by what you really, really want to be and do and have. Or, do all three.
- Reflect on the business aspect of your Perfect Life. Create a list of words and phrases inspired by the above exercises.
- Craft a Mission Statement, your WHY. Keep it short…5-15 words. Send, post or tweet it to me, or the UN-crowd community.
- Hold your guitar pick, and reflect on your Perfect Life and your Mission. Imagine it and embrace your intention. Use the pick to remind you to bring your dream into focus on a regular basis.

S4 – What Do You Want? Really Really Want?
Course Description
In this session, I define Goal setting and coach you through writing your own. Learn the formula for what makes a workable Goal, and how to move your dreams into manifest-able chunks. Discover the paradox (and power) of Goal setting and letting go of your attachment to the outcome.

- Start fresh! If you’ve set Goals before and been disappointed, be willing to let go of that experience and take another swing.
- Use the PDF form to jot down your Goals. Aim for at least 3 and no more than 12.

S5 – Skill Set / Wrangling Chaos
Course Description
In this session, we move firmly in the direction of action. It takes discipline to live the life you want to live. I’ll introduce a few super-powerful and really simple tools for wrangling the chaos and streamlining your day. Get ready to be underwhelmed by these easy strategies for taking charge of your life and business!

- Select one tool to serve as your Master List of Projects and To Dos. This is where you will record everything that needs to be done, now or later. This is the end of sticky-notes and little scraps of paper and multiple notebooks. and the beginning of personal organization.

- Remember the Law of Freedom. Dream. Act. Test. DATs the way to expand your life and business.

S6 – Who’s Who?
Course Description
In this session, we demonstrate how to identify what needs to be done…and by whom. Step by step, we build the Organizational Chart, the Position Descriptions and consider who could WIN in every Position. It’s so cool when you can offer a career (not just a job) and commit to helping yourself and others develop skills and realize personal growth. No matter how big – or small – your ideal business vision is, engaging other people is key to making it so.

S7 – Skill Set / Making Moolah Pt 1 and Pt 2
Course Description
In this session, we tackle the Money, Honey! Your UN-Business Plan has a Financial Plan component, and this is it. I’ll cover the bare bones basics of what it takes to be a great Financial Manager – always your job as the owner of your company. You’ll need some help, so I’ve included tips for finding great accounting/bookkeeping professionals. Learn how to get to KFP – a Known and current Financial Position, and engage specific actions to improve cash and profitability. Set Financial Goals (aka Budgeting!) so you can change the score and make mucho moolah! I’ll also share solid systems for getting the accounting and reporting on auto-pilot at your company.
NOTE this course has two video components – Part One and Part Two. Lots of great content. Buckle your seatbelt!

S8 – Feeding the Sharks
Course Description
In this session, I’ll broadly define Marketing and Sales. I’ll make suggestions for “adopting” a Marketing and/or Sales guru. Then, we will dig deep into your Pitch. Essentially, your Pitch is the answer to the question, “So, what do you do?” You can create different Pitches for different situations and audiences. We will explore the Investor Pitch (or Shark Pitch!), the Elevator Pitch and the Hollywood Pitch. The Pitch is the essential kernel of all your Marketing and Sales and a good starting point for your UN-Marketing adventures.

- Pick your assignments, write them down or type them up. Then, print and three-hole punch your pages and put them in your Binder, where you store your UN-Business Plan, and your accountability assignments.
- If you have done a Marketing Plan, dust it off and review it. It might be good to go as is. If so, put it in the Binder. Refer to the Marketing Basics below.
- Ready to “adopt” a guru? Refer to the Resources. Audition a few and make a decision, and jot down your choices.
- For our UN-Business Plan adventure, the Pitch is the essential element. Craft your Pitch…any version. Write it, video it…and SHARE it on our Social Media sites. Nice way to get publicity for your company.
- And give your Pitch, at least 10 times.

S9 – Skills Set / Act Rich
Course Description
In this session, we move firmly into the ACTION step of the Law of Freedom: Dream – Act – Test. We explore the challenges of Time. (Good news! You won the Time Lottery!) I share weekly and daily “regiments” that help you discipline yourself to stay focused, and get fast results. I share sure-fire ways to get UN-stuck when you feel glued-in-place. I demonstrate the Weekly Meeting with You and, best of all, how to get things done through others. Your team will solve all your problems, and free up your time, if you set them up right and let ‘em loose.

Course Description
In this session, I’ll ask you to commit to your life, your dreams and your business. On a rough day, you may be tempted to throw in the towel. You’ll learn why shutting down your business may be a good move, and why you never want to quit on a bad day. We’ll discuss D-Day and you’ll set your Decide Date. And you’ll learn exactly what needs to happen between now and D-Day to give your Perfect Life and best business a chance to come true!
And, we’ll pick up the pick and remember all D.A.T.!

- Pick your D-Day and sign the commitment. Put the date on your Calendar.
- Once D-Day arrives, make your decision. Should the business stay or go? If you recommit, fill out the Decision form, and set a new D-Day.
- Hold your guitar pick and review your UN-business Plan. Allow that which you want to come to life in your imagination. Appreciate the highs and lows of life as an entrepreneur. Embrace the self-discovery journey!
