One and done…how much TRY will you buy?

I LOVE the NCAA tournament.

It’s one and done. You win or go home.

At General Electric, Inc. Jack Welch told his team that they would be #1 or #2 in every market they entered…or they would go home. And he gave them a limited time to do it. One or two quarters sometimes. He fired a LOT of people. However, if you are not winning, why do you stay and play? Go home. Go do something else. Get good or get gone.

Because you have the capacity to be really good at something. If you look inside yourself and ask, “What is that I really want to do in this lifetime? What do I want to excel in? What do I have enough passion for that I can commit to getting good, am able to get good, at doing that.”
