Greetings!

Howard Partridge and I go waaaaay back. He was in the audience in one of my first ever seminars. I was pretty nervous, and it was the first time I ever offered books in the back of the room. After my program, he hustled over to buy one of everything – and that was the beginning of my love for Howard.

I didn’t know at the time, though I do now, how wonderful Howard is. He is a cream-of-the-crop business coach, an extraordinary business builder, and inspiring leader. He’s written umpteen books, his latest being The Power of Community. (Do yourself a favor and buy a copy.)

Howard and I have spent a lot of time together…as great friends and mutual mentors. Over the years, we have helped each other…and so many others…start and fix and grow great businesses. I shared with Howard that I was wrapping up my consulting practice to focus on ZOOM DRAIN, the franchise I am building with business icons Al Levi, Jim Criniti and Jason Criniti (and our growing team of fabulous franchisees and rockstar team members!)

Well, he responded in quintessential Howard Partridge fashion.

He said, “May I ask you a question?” Howard asks a lot of great questions.

“Sure,” I replied.

“How are you going to respond to people who need your help, who want your help, if they are not a good fit for ZOOM DRAIN? You have a mission to expand peace, prosperity and freedom. You are really good teaching essential business financials, and you know how to develop and reward team members. What could we do to share what you know and still leave you free and clear to focus on ZOOM?”

Note that was more than one question. However, he is right, as he often is. I scratched my head as he asked another question.

“What if I made it really easy for you to share your great information and systems? My team can handle the logistics, and you can just, well, be YOU…and share the best of what you know when it comes to fun and easy financial systems, and solid team building.”

How could I say no to that? Then Howard sweetened the deal…

“What about you and I hosting a small group, intensive, two-day business building event? We can tag team. You help them – and their team members – make lots of money. Move towards transparency, financial mastery and creating a really good game. I’ll focus on what I do best: developing real community, nurturing leadership and getting great plans implemented. We can demonstrate the power of PODS, as a method of discovering meaning (and solutions to problems!) that they can start using right away. The two of us can help them create a ROCKIN’ Business.

“OH! And what if we hold the event in Dallas, at the world famous Ziglar Corporation HQ? The venue is perfect for learning, and we can introduce the Ziglar family while we are there? That would be great, right?”

Right!
